
Brian O'Rourke, CHLNet Co-Chair, is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH). He joined CADTH in January 2009 as Vice-President of the Common Drug Review following a distinguished career as a Pharmacist and Health Services Operations Officer with the Canadian Forces. With more than 28 years in pharmacy practice in various leadership capacities, Dr. O’Rourke actively positions CADTH as the leading source of health technology information in Canada. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from Dalhousie University and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Toronto. He is an active member of the Canadian Pharmacists Association, the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists, and the Canadian College of Health Leaders. As a retired Colonel, Dr. O’Rourke was appointed by the Governor General as an Officer of the Order of Military Merit in 2005.

Lea Bryden, CHLNet Co-chair, is Vice-President, Citizen Engagement and Accountability, for Capital Health. Lea leads Capital Health's initiative to create a culture of public participation and shared accountability between health care providers and citizens. She has been instrumental in transforming Capital Health’s culture of leadership and in creating a more open and transparent organization. Lea is a two-time international award winner for health care communication. In 2009 she received the Halifax Woman of Excellence award as well as the CEO’s award for health care innovation and leadership in the region. Most recently some of the work she has led was selected as a finalist for programs sponsored by the International Association of Public Participation and the Canadian Institute of Public Administration. Locally she is most proud of her role as chair of the health care division for the annual United Way campaign.
